The popular vocalist abides by a regular fitness routine, which involves a lot of functional training. In an exclusive workout video session with ETimes, Shalmali offered a glimpse of her gym regime that helps her maintain that lean frame. Not into those heavy weights, Shalmali lists down her favourite workout tips and tricks. In the exclusive interaction, the ‘Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai’ singer also reveals that training with someone–like a trainer overlooking the workout–is very important. She also follows a strict diet to supplement her workouts.

Shalmali started off her Bollywood career with ‘Pareshaan’ from ‘Ishaqzaade’. The film hit the screens in 2012 and her vocals for Parineeti Chopra in the film were a huge hit. In 2013, she also bagged the coveted Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the same. Since then, the songstress has delivered several hits. ‘Balam Pichkari’ from ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2013), ‘Shanivaar Raati’ and ‘Besharmi Ki Height’ from Main Tera Hero (2014) are some of her biggest hits.
