Alia Bhatt who has several exciting films promised for her fans, is now likely to treat her fans with her ‘most-awaited film’ ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ helmed by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali soon in the new year. While the Mumbai shooting schedule of the film is currently going on in full swing, the latest reports suggest that the film team is now gearing up for the theatrical release in 2021.

Meanwhile, fans took to Twitter to pour their heart out for the actress while calling it the “most awaited film” of the new year. Talking about the film, it marks the first collaboration between the filmmaker and the actress where Alia will be seen essaying a titular character in the film who emerges as a ‘Mafia Queen’ of the city. The film will also have a special dance number by ace actor Huma Qureshi.

Earlier, the film was slated for a release in September 2020, however, it got postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, on the work front, apart from ‘Gangubai Kathhiawadi’, Alia will also be seen in ‘Brahmastra’ with Ranbir, Big B, Mouni Roy among others. Alia also has ‘RRR’ and ‘Takht’ in her kitty.
