The popular Tamil daily soap Sevvanthi director O.N. Rathnam’s wife Priya was found dead at her home in Chennai on May 24 (yesterday). Though any detailed information about the incident is awaited, reports suggest, Priya has reportedly died by suicide. Cops are investigating the incident.

According to reports, the couple had sent the children to their grandfather’s house in Pollachi due to some personal issues. O.N. Rathnam and his wife were there at their Chennai house.
According to sources, the couple allegedly had a small argument the day before the unfortunate incident took place. Ratnam‘s sons were returning to Chennai from Pollachi and he had gone to the bus stand to pick up the boys when Priya allegedly took her life.
Priya’s body has then been taken to Chennai Hospital.
O.N. Rathnam directed many hit serials like Azhagu, Vani Rani, Sevvanthi, Priyamana Thozhi, and Pandavar Illam. His hometown is Pollachi and his wife is also from the same place. They both fell in love with each other and got married.
