Legendary actor Innocent passes away – Times of India

Popular Mollywood actor Innocent who brought to life several memorable characters in movies, breathed his last on Sunday, March 26. The veteran actor was aged 75.
It was only recently that the actor was admitted to a private hospital in Kochi as he complained of uneasiness due to a throat infection. The veteran actor had been undergoing treatment since March 16 and the news of his passing has indeed shocked every movie buff and celebrity in Malayalam cinema.

Apart from being an actor, Innocent was also a former MP from Chalakudy LS constituency and he was also the former president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).
Popularly known for his comedic roles, actor Innocent proved that he was a master at handling comedy, and the actor had also evoked emotions among the audiences with his terrific roles in several drama movies.

Innocent made his entry into the Malayalam film industry with the film ‘Nrityashala’ which was released in the year 1972 and was directed by AB Raj. Later Innocent slalomed into the hearts of every Malayali film viewer with several popular movies and characters.

The senior actor was last seen in the film ‘Kaduva’ where he played the role of a character named Fr. Vattassheril. The actor will be also seen in the upcoming Fahadh Faasil starrer ‘Paachuvum Athbhuthavilakkum’ in one of his last performances.
