NWR is hoping to run the Vande Bharat Express from the first week of April after the train has undergone trials. “Based on joint discussion between NWR and NR, it was proposed to run this service between Jaipur and New Delhi as per earlier proposal. Now the proposal has been revised for running Vande Bharat train between Ajmer and New Delhi via Jaipur,” the NWR circular reads.

ICF, Chennai has installed high rise pantographs on the new Vande Bharat Express for NWR given that double stack containers run on the route, and hence require pantographs with more height.
The new Vande Bharat Express is expected to reach NWR today, that is March 23, 2023.
