2023 Honda Activa launched at Rs 74,536: Gets new car-like Smart Key and alloy wheels – Times of India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has updated the Activa scooter for the 2023 model year, introducing some new features while retaining the overall package. The 2023 Activa has been launched in India at a base price of Rs 74,536 (ex-showroom), and is available in three variants with a brand-new top-of-the-line model called ‘H-Smart’.

The Honda Activa was previously priced at Rs 73,359 (ex-showroom) for the Standard trim, which means that it has received an increment of about Rs 1,200 with the updated model. The newly introduced top-end H-Smart variant comes with a car-like Smart Key that enables four new features, i.e. Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Safe, and Smart Start.

The Smart Find function works up to 10 metres and helps you find your scooter, while Smart Unlock provides ability to unlock the handle, seat and open the fuel lid. The Smart Safe function ensures that the key is operable within a range of 2 metres, and Smart Start turns the ignition on in the same radius. Apart from these features, the range-topping H-Smart variant also now gets alloy wheels as opposed to the steel wheels offered with the other two variants.
No changes have been made to the powertrain. The Activa is still equipped with the same 109.51 cc single-cylinder motor that generates 7.8 PS power and 8.9 Nm torque. The suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front, while braking is handled by drum brakes on both ends.
The 2023 Honda Activa is available in six colour options, namely Decent Blue, Rebel Red Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Black, Pearl Precious White and Pearl Siren Blue.
